Message from our founder, Sten

Xplora was founded after I lost my 3-year-old son, Filip, in a Norwegian shopping mall. After 30 stressful minutes, I thankfully found my son, but thought that there must be a better way of safeguarding our children against such eventualities - I got to work!

A smartphone was not the right solution, they are not 100% safe. I wouldn’t want my children to have access to all of the online content when they are at such a young and impressionable age—and the cost was also a factor.

So, Xplora was born. A smartwatch that is a cell phone and GPS locator ,where the parent has 100% control over who can call the watch and ultimately who the watch can call.

Our vision is to enable children around the world to see how their everyday activities can make a positive change in the world.

There are 2 key points to our proposition:

1.We safeguard our loved ones by always being connected to them
2.We incentivise children to be more active through rewards and gamification 

We are well on our way to safely introducing our children to the digital world and have a number of ideas we are developing with our fantastic team for the future.
